Horton, Kan.--The Board of the Horton City Commission, at its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday (1/21), agreed to move forward with the procurement of a design engineer for engineering related to the Mission Lake Restoration Project, or the MLRP, and ancillary lake projects.  The Commission, after making recommendations for amendment to the request for qualifications, agreed to direct the City Administrator and MLRP Project Administrator Levi Henry to publish the request for qualifications.

Interested engineering firms and entities are encouraged to thoroughly review the request for qualifications and understand the complexity of the project, including project guidelines defined by the Preliminary Mission Lake Renovation Plan (Sept. 2007) and Kansas Admin. Regulation Sec. 11-4-1 et seq., before considering submission of a responsive statement of qualifications.  The RFQ is available online, under the Government Procurement Section of hortonkansas.net.  Anti-communications policy does apply, however, if there is difficulty in acquiring the RFQ, please contact the City of Horton by e-mail at cityofhorton@hortonkansas.net or by phone at (785) 486-2681.
