HORTON RESIDENTS ENCOURAGED TO MOVE DEBRIS TO FRONT EASEMENT
In the wake of the ice storms that moved through the Horton area on December 10th and 11th, 2007, Horton city residents are being encouraged by the Horton City Commission and Horton City Administration to move all limb and natural wood debris to the front easements of their properties. The City of Horton has tentatively planned, in conjunction with other local, state and federal agencies, to pick up all natural wood debris on the dates of January 2nd through the 11th, 2008.
When moving natural wood debris to the front easement, citizens are encouraged to place limbs parallel with the street. Placing the debris parallel with the street will ease and hasten the process of removing such debris for municipal crews.
For additional information, please contact Horton City Hall by phone at (785) 486-2681 or by e-mail at cityofhorton@hortonkansas.net.
